Music Benefit Concert:

You are invited to a classical music trio concert Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 7pm in our UPC sanctuary. Please join us for one hour of beautiful music followed by light refreshments.

Donations from this concert directly benefit Semper Fi and America’s Fund. This non-profit based in Oceanside, CA began in 2003 by spouses of wounded veterans. They currently process a daily average of 170 grants and have served over 39,000 veterans and their families with need-based giving, housing, and professional medical support. They are a 4-star, A+ rating on CharityWatch.org for their high efficiency and transparency and have a low 9.3% overhead cost. We celebrate Memorial Day to honor military personnel who served and sacrificed their lives for our country and are grateful to these brave heroes for protecting the freedoms we enjoy as outlined in the American constitution: speech, religion, press, assembly, and petition.
Our guest musicians for this concert are Edna Jeon, flute; Wentao Jiang, oboe, and Ying-Shan Su, piano. Edna graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with her Master’s degree in Music and played piccolo for several professional orchestras in the US before returning home to the Bay Area. She reunites with colleagues to present vibrant trio music for local audiences for which all donations received will go to this non-profit to serve wounded veterans. Thank you!
